I Have A Dream Foundation was founded to help children who come from low income families and a pretty tough past, get the education they desire in order to succeed. At the luncheon, we raised $22,000 for 72 students to continue their education and hopefully make their way into college. I met so many children from the Latino community and was honored to be at an event that encompasses my entire platform as Miss Colorado. Understanding that the Performing Arts do matter and most of the children are in love with the Arts and want to continue to grow in that program. I got to share my personal story with the kids and let them know that the attainability of your dreams is always possible! The kids from I Have A Dream have truly inspired me!
These group of kids came up to me and got to tell me how they would like to pursue their dreams through the Performing Arts because they love it so much! Their outlook on the arts truly made me smile!
